Minutes of the research meeting conducted for interns and alumni on 16<sup>th </sup>July, 2016

BioLim Centre for Science and Technology is a research venture of BioLim Research and Educational Trust in Chennai, Tamil Nadu bringing in more thriving plans and strategies to develop demandful research for the benefit of the Indian MSMEs and society in general.

BCST is looking forward to building a strong demand bank to understand the demands of the industries and society in order to spend the researching energy in the right way.

As a first part of the demand identification, a dedicated research meeting with the title, “Demands of the society from the eyes of a budding researcher” has been conducted on 16th July, 2016.

The meet was initiated by a warm inaugural speech of Ms. Vaishali PG, Operating Manager, BCST followed by an inspiring and valuable speech delivered by Mr. Selvakumar Krishnamoorthy, Trustee, BioLim Trust on the need of understanding the research demands.

Six members from the interns and alumni pool of BCST presented in the meet about some important demands of the biological sector and they are as follows:

  • Ramanathan A, CARE Group of Institutions, Thirucharapalli
  • Aiswarya Sahu, Central University of Jharkhand, Jharkhand

  • Further, a discussion for the development of a prominent demand identifying and disseminating platform happened in the meeting and various expectations towards the same were discussed. As a point of resolution, a separate sector in the young wing community of BCST has been planned to host the RESEARCH DEMANDS, which will be more beneficial to the budding researchers community to work on the needs of the Indian MSMEs and society in general.
