Molecular biology is the field of my interest and I want to pursue my masters in the same subject. This online internship on molecular biology laboratory associate role provided by BioLim has given me the opportunity to gain new knowledge on the roles of a lab associate as well as the lab practices and management skills one should develop while working in labs. Knowing about different molecular techniques, and instruments used in labs has boosted my confidence to work in research labs. This internship has provided me with good understanding on the importance of molecular biology in different areas which would be of great benefit to me when I consider my career options. It has been a great learning experience to get to know different statistical calculations used in experiments, design protocols and prepare material safety data sheets on a practical basis which I can apply to conduct my own experiments in the future.
